Nintena 150mg capsule contains nintedanib. It belongs to class of medication known as kinase inhibitor. It is a anti-fibrotic medicine. It is primarily used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in adults. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is an irreversible disease which is progressive in nature and causes decline in lung function. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a serious lung disease. When you breathe in, oxygen moves through tiny air sacs in your lungs and into your bloodstream. From there, it travels to your organs. IPF causes scar tissue to grow inside your lungs and makes it hard to breathe. It works by decreasing the release of naturally occuring growth factors in body which results in reducing of scarring and swelling in lungs, making breathing easier.
